The Electroform Process

 

I intuitively integrate Mother Earth's treasures to create my pieces, but the magic happens when the pieces begin to create themselves. It’s fun to allow the flow, surrender and see what is created!

Some of my favorite gifts from nature are healing crystals & stones, shells, pearls, sea glass, petrified wood and bones.

Once the pieces are formed, the electroforming process begins.

Electroforming is a metal-forming process where a layer of copper is formed on and around a piece using an electrolytic bath, transporting the copper to the pieces using electricity.

Once the pieces are electroformed, they are tumbled for a desired shine then looped onto a 100% copper, adjustable chain so the wearer has the freedom of desired length.

I love big, chunky, colorful, sparkly and unique pieces; the kind of jewelry that inspires a look to be created around it, not the other way around! The kind that evokes curiosity, liberation and a 'just go with it' attitude.
